This story of Syrian Jewish immigration narrated by Vicky Kabareti and Danielle Dweck tells the tale of Syrian Jewish persecution and resilience over the years. After all the hardships and obstacles that Syrian Jews have faced from the late 19th to 20th century it has ultimately led to their establishment of a thriving community in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, nicknamed "Aleppo in Flatbush." This narration is aided by various members of the community who have shared their experience regarding growing up in the Syrian Jewish community both in Syria and in New York.
